DICKIES x NYS It’s True What They Say LS Tee – Yellow: New York Sunshine was founded by John “Sunshine” Margaritis on Long Island in New York. In the Spring of 2021, the Install Team at New York Sunshine set out to create an installation art piece in the high desert of Marfa, Texas that would be the foundation for their collaboration with Dickies. The idea was to use the installation to showcase the durability of Dickies iconic twill fabric by wrapping a stick-frame house in it and letting it wear in the elements until the fall. The twill fabric performed as expected, and the Install Team learned about the brutal nature of summer Texas sunshine. This installation experience inspired the foundation for the Sun Dyed in Texas Collection – a New York Sunshine x Dickies collab. The New York Sunshine x Dickies It’s True What They Say Long Sleeve T-Shirt shares that experience with the world, using Dickies long sleeve, heavyweight tee as a canvas. Durable with reinforced cuffs and collar, it’ll make a statement today, next year, and beyond.
